Consultation

A conversation first.Everything else after.

Golden Key works through a relationship, so it starts with a conversation rather than a sign-up. Here is what that conversation is, and how to ask for one.

This page does not schedule anything. There is no calendar here, and nothing on it will confirm a time — requesting a conversation is a message to a person, and a person arranges it with you.

What a first conversation covers

  1. You describe the situation

In your own words, at whatever level of detail you are comfortable with. You are not asked to produce documents, statements or a credit report to have a first conversation.

  2. We work out where you are

Which of the eight stages the situation is actually in, and what that means for what comes first. This is a description of a position, not a grade.

  3. You hear what would be involved

What working together would look like, what it would ask of you, and roughly over what horizon. Including the parts that are slow, because most of the useful ones are.

  4. You decide, afterwards

Nothing starts in the conversation. There is no commitment to make on the call and nothing to sign while you are on it.

Helpful to have — none of it required

Arriving with nothing prepared is fine and common. These simply make the first half hour more useful.

  • A rough sense of what you want to be true in a year or two — even loosely worded.
  • Whatever you already know about your credit position, including "not much".
  • Anything with a deadline attached to it, if something does.
  • The questions you actually want answered.

What it is not

Worth saying plainly, because assumptions about this kind of conversation form quickly.

  • It is not a credit repair sale, and no outcome is promised in it.
  • It is not legal, tax, or investment advice — those belong to qualified professionals, and stay with them.
  • It is not a lending decision, a pre-approval, or an indication of either.
  • It is not a commitment. Deciding later, or not at all, is a normal outcome.
