Financial Lab
Understanding is the first half. Working it out is the second.
The Lab is where the planning tools live. Each one arrives when the calculation behind it is authoritative and its assumptions can be shown next to the result — so the page tells you which are available and which are not, rather than either hiding the room or filling it with tools that guess.

Glossary
These are this platform's own terms. If one of them appears on your screen and you are not sure what it means, that is a failure of ours, not yours.
- Readiness stage
- Which of the eight lifecycle phases your plan is currently in. It is determined by versioned rules against what is actually recorded about your finances — not by how long you have been a client, and not by anyone's impression.
- Evidence state
- What is known about a single fact: verified, recorded, pending verification, or missing. It sits beside the fact rather than replacing it, so nothing that has not been checked sits silently next to something that has.
- Verification status
- How a credit score came to be on file — client reported, pending review, document supported, or provider verified. A score without this is a number; a score with it is something you can work from.
- Utilization
- How much of your available revolving credit is in use, as reported. It is one of the factors that moves a credit file, and one of the few you directly control month to month.
- Next step
- The single action your plan asks of you now. There is deliberately one at a time: a list of twelve is a list nobody starts.
- Human review
- High-impact output is read and approved by a person before it reaches you. Not every record is individually approved — the deterministic ones are rules — but nothing consequential is published to you unreviewed.
- Purpose-bound sharing
- Context shared with a professional for a stated reason, with your permission, rather than published to a directory or shared by default.
Questions people actually ask
- How do I get started?
- Golden Key works through a relationship rather than a sign-up form. Your advisory team sets up your file and you receive an invitation to your own plan. There is no self-service account creation, which is why you will not find a "create account" button anywhere on this site.
- Does this pull my credit report?
- No. Scores are entered and verified rather than pulled automatically, and each one is recorded with its bureau, its model, its date and what supports it. Automated bureau access is not something the platform does.
- Will this fix my credit?
- Nobody can honestly promise that, and this site does not. What it does is organize what is actually reported about you, keep the evidence with it, and turn the parts you control into a small number of monthly actions — with a person working alongside you.
- Who sees my information?
- Your advisory team, and any professional you choose to share context with, for the purpose you name. Sharing is a decision you make, not a default.
- Is a computer making decisions about my finances?
- No. The technology organizes the picture and applies deterministic rules; people make the judgements. Where a decision is regulated — lending, tax, legal — it belongs to a qualified professional and stays with them.
- What does it cost?
- Pricing is set with your advisory team as part of your engagement, and is not published here. Anything this site quoted would be a number nobody had agreed with you.
Reading is a good start. A conversation is a better one.
14 articles will tell you how things work. They cannot tell you what applies to you — that takes somebody looking at your situation with you.
